Pokemon X and Y-themed 3DS XLs announced for Japan
Plus, watch the new three-minute trailer.

Nintendo has announced two Pokemon X and Y special edition 3DS XLs for Japan.



The “Xerneas and Yveltal Blue” (pictured) and “Premium Gold” 3DS XL models will cost 22,800 yen each. They’ll come packaged with a download copy of the game (there are separate packs for Pokemon X and Y – the Pokemon X pack comes with Pokemon X, for example), 4 gigabyte SDHC memory card, and other standard inclusions like a stylus and six AR cards.


The “Premium Gold” model is a Pokemon Center exclusive.


Both models will be released alongside the games on October 12 in Japan. Pre-orders begin on August 10. See images of each model at the gallery.


Additionally, a new three-minute trailer was uploaded to the game’s official Japanese website. Watch below for battle cries, player search, and more.

Honedge revealed for Pokemon X and Y
A Ghost and Steel-type sword Pokemon.


Nintendo and Game Freak unveiled Honedge, a new Steel and Ghost-type Pokemon for Pokemon X and Pokemon Y, at Japan Expo in Paris.


Here’s his official description:


It is now known that Honedge comes into being when a departed spirit possesses a sword that once belonged to humans. It can use the blue cloth attached to its hilt as nimbly as an arm. Pokémon Trainers who carelessly take this blade in hand may find the blue cloth wrapping itself around them and draining their energy!


Honedge can learn the attack Swords Dance, a Normal-type move. Swords Dance is a frenetic dance that uplifts the fighting spirit and sharply raises the user’s Attack stat. The effect can be increased by using this move multiple times in succession, helping Trainers who deploy this move at the beginning of a battle to overwhelm one opponent after another!

Pokémon X e Y - Página 3 Pokexy
The fifth official English-language Pokémon trailer has been released. It features many of the Pokémon that were recently revealed in Japan's CoroCoromagazine, such as Pangoro, the evolution of Pancham, and a Dark/Psychic squid Pokémon with two evolutions named Inkay and Malomar.
This trailer also introduces players to Professor Sycamore and the mysterious and certainly villainous Team Flare. Along with the trailer's release, the official Pokémon web site has added new information about many of the game's features, including a Holo Caster that allows the player to communicate with in-game characters; the upgraded Global Trade System, which now allows players to trade for Pokémon they've never seen before; and O-Powers, which are temporary power-ups that players can collect and trade during their adventures.

Nintendo has revealed that Pokémon X and Y will feature a new type of evolution unlike any that has previously appeared in the series. This "Mega Evolution" allows a Pokémon to temporarily transform into a much more powerful state in the middle of a fight, but the Pokémon will return to its previous form at the end of the battle. This transformation requires a rare item called a Mega Stone, and it appears that there is a unique Mega Stone required for each Mega Evolution.
So far, Game Freak is focusing on three Pokémon who have been shown to have Mega forms: Mewtwo, Lucario, and Blaziken (Mawile, Absol, and Ampharos have been shown in Mega Form in Japan's CoroCoro magazine). Mega Mewtwo is the previously unexplained new form of Mewtwo that was shown some time ago, while the other two were revealed today. Mega Blaziken cannot be acquired through normal gameplay, but a Torchic holding the Blazekenite Mega Stone required for that form will be distributed via the Nintendo Network starting on October 12, the same day as the game's launch.
Nintendo also revealed today that Pokémon X and Y will contain a new system called "Super Training." This will let trainers strengthen their Pokémon outside of battle through various training regimens and mini-games. Through this method, a Pokémon's base stats can be directly improved, though only a limited number of times.

É claro que na semana de lançamento de Pokémon X/Y não poderia deixar de sair do meu caixão pra reviver no RPG Players! haha. Sério, ainda que esteja me deliciando com o ótimo The Last of Us só consigo pensar na minha versão de Pkmn Y!

Vou pegar os episódios de Origin conforme dica do Giga, porém ainda acho estranho ver Kanto representada com Mega Evoluções, tá muito contemporâneo isso aí.
